In 1910, Sunnyside Railyard, Long Island City, Queens, occupied 192 acres and was the largest train car servicing facility in the world. Douglas Riccardi, Owner/Creative Director, Memo NY, based the design for an 8’-0” x 25’-0 multi-paneled display on an antique overhead map of the yard. The 12-part presentation can be seen through the front windows of Gaseteria, an office complex located alongside the historic railyard.

Layered prints laminated to clear acrylic were derived from the geographically inspired place names of the conference rooms they decorate - Boston, Hartford, London, New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco.

ARtfx printed and installed a triptych display in a corporate conference room. Metal panels were suspended between a drywall ceiling and marble counter-top in front of a wall awash in light.

Interpreted in layers of colorfully printed acrylic plate, an illuminated reception area logo creates a tranquil glow.

After comprehensive research, local historic, geographic and geologic points of interest were incorporated into a collage painted specifically for the Tannery Apartments in Glastonbury, Connecticut. A placard describes the individual components represented.
