Fabricator
This position requires 5+ years of shop experience. The job involves fabrication of architectural components and illuminated and non-illuminated signs – metal, wood, acrylic, composite, PVC plus lighting and wiring.
- Fabrication of artistic pieces as well as signage.
- Welding experience is required; must be able to follow prints and plans and be mechanically inclined.
- All applicants must be willing and able to work overtime and complete a welding test.
- Basic knowledge of equipment such as automated breaks, CNC machines, automated sheer, basic woodworking equipment (drill press, compound miter saw, band saw), and metal rollers and dies.
Project Manager
The position requires managing small to large projects from start to finish, with basic sales for in-house accounts and call-ins.
- 3+ years project managing experience required.
- Highly organized, efficient with time management, and experienced with CRM software required.
- Pleasant and even-tempered with an ability to handle many personality types.
- Skilled in math (algebra and geometry) and writing.
- Familiarity with AIA billing and an OSHA 10 certification are a plus.
- Basic construction means and methods knowledge and experience preferred.
- Live within 30 miles of Bloomfield, Connecticut with a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Available for some travel – CT, NYC, NY, MA, NJ, RI.
Signage Graphic Designer
This candidate requires experience in sign design and in Corel Draw. Must be able to complete shop drawings for on-site fabrication and know the general mechanical aspects of fabrication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in graphic design for fabricated signs.
- Proficient in Corel Draw and Adobe and able to use CRM software.
- Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography, and design skills.
- Portfolio of sign work required.
Industrial Spray Painter
Conduct production painting assignments related to the electric sign and architectural fabrication industry. On-the-job training provided with advancement potential.
- Carefully review shop drawings and instructional paint order forms to assure final product accuracy.
- Mix and spray formula-based polyurethane and acrylic polyurethane enamel paints (automotive / industrial).
- Sand and apply fillers, prep, prime, and paint small and large surfaces, including fabricated letters, sign cabinets, awning frames, and architectural fabrications.
- Use, adjust, clean, and service spray guns, paint pots, hoses, and other spray equipment.
- Keep inventory of supplies and order in advance to assure needed items are on hand.
