ARTfx installed signs, a canopy, and chandeliers at the new Elicit Brewing in Fairfield, CT. We also designed the large pylon sign on Black Rock Turnpike. An ARTfx flashback… A long-time staple of the West Hartford restaurant scene, in 2002, Chengdu moved from Farmington Avenue to the location shown below on Park Road. ARTfx created a distinctive sign over the popular eatery’s entry. The brightly lit channel letters featured a hammered metal contour. Argon-filled clear glass tubes resembled wok curled steam. An ARTfx flashback from the summer of 1981… The conversion of a dreary red brick factory in Bridgeport, Connecticut to one of the area’s first game arcades. The new facade designed by Lawrin Rosen, ARTfx President-to-be, came to life with a little bit of paint and plywood. Mike Ulrich, who is still a frequent ARTfx sub-contractor, and Lawrin’s childhood friend (50+ years), provided the handiwork.
